About the Role:
Join us in an exciting leadership opportunity as the Nurse Unit Manager for the newly opened Ward 5A — a dynamic Orthopaedic Ward incorporating the Joint Centre at Maitland Hospital. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide strong clinical and operational leadership across three diverse units, leading daily operations while championing person-centred care. You’ll support, mentor, and empower staff to deliver safe, high-quality care for our community, manage staffing, rostering, recruitment, and nursing hours to ensure effective workforce utilisation, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture. You will also oversee clinical governance, safety, and service quality, ensuring the highest standards of care within a fast-paced hospital environment.


What We’re Looking For:

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Strong clinical expertise and proven leadership and/or management experience suitable for a Nursing Unit Manager role
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills to balance competing priorities
• Confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
