About the Opportunity:
Liverpool Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Manager Grade 3 to lead our Cancer Therapy Centre supporting high quality patient centred care across our oncology, apheresis, day therapy and ambulatory service areas. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee nursing services within a complex and dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while optimising resources.

Liverpool Hospital is undergoing a major redevelopment, the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct, to enhance its cancer services as part of a larger $830 million project. This will create an Integrated Cancer Centre combining inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostics, and clinical research, including an on site wellness centre. Stage 2 of the redevelopment is currently underway and includes a new multi-storey building for these new Cancer Services.

What You'll Be Doing:
The Nurse Manager participates in or is responsible for the leadership and management of nursing services in a management unit, service, complex function or facility to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

Where you'll be working:
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Relevant post graduate qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
