Duration: expected commencement 3 February 2025 to 1 February 2026 (up to 12 months)
Purpose of the Position
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. The Fellowship must have been obtained within two years of the advertised application closing date. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered. If successful, the applicant will not be subsequently eligible to commence their appointment until after the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.

- Appropriate experience to practice as a Junior Consultant in Emergency Medicine.
- Evidence of and commitment to medical education including the delivery of teaching programs.
- Commitment to completing a Quality Improvement Project during appointment and/or managing a non-clinical portfolio as directed by the Director of Emergency Medicine.
