Where you'll be working
This role is based in NSLHD with office based at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards. Our team supports all facilities across NSLHD & CCLHD, so travel to other sites within NSLHD and CCLHD is required.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Informatics Unit exists within the Clinical Informatics Department of Information Communications and Technology (ICT), Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).
The unit provides;
- ongoing application support and management of clinical and patient management applications
- clinical application upgrades and maintenance
- eMR data quality and management
- expert knowledge, ongoing enhancements, optimisation and development of the eMR and
- consulting services on the development of new clinical applications, advice on business process reengineering and transformation, change management, benefits realisation and post implementation reviews
The Senior Clinical Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining the customer interface.
The position is actively involved in the co-ordination and execution of business process redesign, documentation of workflows, benefits realisation, post implementation review and facilitation of workshops across Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts for identification and implementation of business and organisational change management initiatives in the context of Clinical Systems. This position is also involved in policy creation and review, assisting with tender documentation, briefs and business cases.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications in Health / Health Sciences or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience in a Cerner health environment and/or in hospital environments.
- Extensive experience in conducting business process re-design, documentation of workflow, data flow analysis diagrams, benefits realisation and change management documents.
- Demonstrated experience in leading Digital Health initiatives and projects.
Please provide examples of 1-2 Digital Health projects you were involved in and describe your role in the project. - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve desired outcomes. Please provide two examples of a complex issue you have encountered during a project and how you led to a resolution or managed the problem.
