Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is seeking an Aboriginal Peer Worker - Safeguards Team (Identified Position) to support children, young people and families experiencing mental health distress across our region.
Using your lived experience as an Aboriginal person navigating your own mental health journey, you will provide hope, advocacy, culturally safe support, and connection for young people accessing mental health services.
Location Negotiable within Mid North Coast NSW
Supportive multidisciplinary team
Community-based role supporting children and young people aged 0-17 years
Professional development opportunities
Help shape culturally safe mental health services across the Mid North Coast
About You
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- Passionate about supporting others through recovery
- Able to use lived experience to inspire hope and positive outcomes
- Holds, or is willing to undertake, a Certificate IV in Peer Work - Mental Health
