The Opportunity

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

The Midwifery Manager will be working Monday to Friday and is responsible for the management of the Intrapartum services at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources. The services included are the Delivery Ward, Birth Centre and MGP services.

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Holds a current unencumbered Midwifery Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Has recent management experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team and to represent the nursing/midwifery service inside and outside the organisation.
