Remuneration: $74,317.94 - $104,336.27 per annum + 12.5% Super
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing 


In this rewarding caseload midwifery role, you will provide evidence-based, woman-centred care across the full maternity journey, including community and homebirth settings.

Within this role you will:

  • Manage a caseload delivering antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.

  • Provide on-call support for labour and birth in hospital or at home.

  • Deliver education, health promotion and support to women and families.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services.

  • Support culturally safe, high-quality care and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification: Midwifery

  • Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Midwife ( Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia 

     

Selection Criteria

  1. Current and valid registration as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skills as a Midwife.

  3. Commitment to developing advanced clinical skills and maintaining ongoing mandatory training.

  4. Available to work flexible hours with availability to be on call.

  5. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuity of career/primary health care models of Midwifery care in addition to an explicit understanding of strengths-based philosophy.

  6. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of the multidisciplinary team with demonstrated effective teamwork and communication skills and demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

  7. Current Driver's License valid in Australia and willing to use for work purposes.
