Sutherland Community Mental Health are looking for an motivated, passionate, strengths and recovery orientated mental health rehabilitation clinician to work as part of a well-established, contemporary, cohesive multidisciplinary team. Sound Like you?
 

The Rehabilitation Clinician will plan, coordinate and deliver high quality consumer focused, individually tailored, clinical rehabilitation services to support the recovery process for people with mental health challenges, consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligible for membership with AASW. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia or Psychology with a minimum four-year degree with a major in Psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia and AHPRA registration.
  2. Demonstrated competency in mental health rehabilitation with an ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation interventions. e.g. skills assessment and training, vocational interventions, health promotion and education, motivational interviewing and psychosocial strategies
  3. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation, and a strengths based and recovery focused approach to service provision
  4. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and with a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, families and service providers
  5. Ability to promote community linkage and partnership building
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, evidence based practice and ongoing clinical and professional learning
  7. Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
  8. Current, unrestricted NSW Driver’s licence
