What you'll be doing 
In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and delivery of mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention strategies for refugee communities, strengthening pathways to care and community wellbeing.

  • Design and implement culturally appropriate mental health programs

  • Partner with communities and agencies to reduce stigma and build capacity

  • Deliver workshops, consultations, and education initiatives across NSW

  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships to enhance service accessibility

  • Facilitate multilingual resources and programs to improve mental health literacy

Essential Requirements:

Qualification: Degree in an allied health, mental health discipline or in public health 

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Proven knowledge of issues affecting the mental health needs of people from refugee and refugee like communities.

  2. Demonstrated project management skills and experience; particularly in the development, delivery and evaluation of community health promotion programs and initiatives.

  3. Demonstrated experience in facilitating community and/or health professional capacity building initiatives.

  4. Demonstrated understanding of mental health promotion principles and practices and stigma reduction programs and campaigns.

  5. Demonstrated ability to engage, liaise and negotiate at all levels with key internal and external stakeholders; including government and non-government organisations, community leaders and CALD communities.

  6. Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills.

  7. Demonstrated experience in working in a team and independently.

  8. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
