💚 About the Role

As a Mental Health Clinician – Acute Care Team, you’ll bring your clinical expertise to a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, delivering contemporary, high-quality mental health care across intake, early intervention, shared care coordination and trauma-informed practice.

You’ll build meaningful therapeutic relationships with consumers and their families and carers, drawing on recovery-focused and family-inclusive approaches to provide care that is responsive to individual needs. With the opportunity to navigate complex presentations and collaborate across a broad network of stakeholders, you’ll play an important role in supporting positive outcomes for people within the community.

We’re looking for a clinician with a strong understanding of contemporary mental health service delivery, including intake processes, shared care models and collaborative practice. Your ability to build trust, communicate confidently and work effectively through complex situations will be highly valued.

From commencement, you’ll be welcomed with a comprehensive Mental Health Service Orientation, supported by experienced senior clinicians, the Clinical Coordinator and Service Manager. Ongoing in-service education and clinical support will help you build confidence in the role, while opportunities to participate in both in-house and external professional development will support your continued growth and expertise.

As part of the HVLMNC Mental Health Service, you’ll join a team that values collaboration, professional growth and high-quality care, with access to fleet vehicles for clinical purposes to support your community-based work. 🚗

🌿 Where You’ll Be Working

The service delivers specialist consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care and supporting people throughout their recovery journey. The team plays an important role in helping consumers transition safely from hospital back into the community, providing medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention and coordinated support in partnership with local services.

Working within a dynamic 7-day rotating roster, you’ll have the opportunity to provide care when it matters most, with shifts spanning 8:00am to 8:30pm. 🤝
