About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team in this critical role, responsible for developing and delivering the Strategic Procurement Action Plan for the LHD along with Procurement Governance and Clinical Products Management. You will be the primary contact for all strategic procurement matters and provide expert advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Team.
As the Manager - Strategic Procurement you will:
- Develop and deliver the Strategic Procurement Action Plan for the LHD, aligning with NSW Health's strategic reforms.
- Analyse business needs, commercial risks, and supply markets to inform procurement planning and sourcing strategies.
- Lead sourcing activities across diverse categories to establish supply arrangements that meet organisational goals.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, driving performance and compliance to enhance procurement outcomes.
- Oversee procurement frameworks and foster procurement capability across the organisation.
- Represent Murrumbidgee Local Health District in state-wide forums and committees, advocating for the needs and priorities of MLHD.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Prior senior leadership experience delivering measurable value improvements in supply chain management within a large, complex organisation
- Significant experience in organisational procurement strategy development
- Success and experience in the negotiation and management of performance-based service delivery contracts or complex commercial contracts
High level analytical, problem solving & negotiation skills
