About the role

The MERIT team is small, consisting of 5 clinicians, administration support, and the team leader. The caseworker will be based in Orange and do some outreach to Bathurst, Parkes and Forbes areas.

The caseworker will be located at Orange alongside the Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol team with whom they will work closely with. They will also maintain a close working relationship with the presiding magistrate and court staff. The caseworker will spend one day per week representing MERIT in local Court and have case management of a small caseload of Drug & Alcohol clients.

The caseworker will be supported primarily by the MERIT team leader, the drug and alcohol clinical lead as well as senior drug and alcohol staff.

The successful applicant will possess, case management skills, counselling skills and ability to work independently as well as part of the team.

You will generally work weekdays 8.5 hours per day (flexible hours are negotiable) with a monthly ADO.
