Where you'll be working:
Kurri Kurri Hospital is a 26-bed inpatient facility supporting the Lower Hunter community with a diverse caseload transferred primarily from Maitland Hospital for ongoing management. Our Physiotherapy team also conducts an outpatient clinic with a caseload involving musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, women’s health and falls prevention.
About the role:
As a Physiotherapist Level 3 you will provide care to inpatients on a medical ward, with a mixed caseload, working closely with the level 1/2 Physiotherapist, allied health team, medical, nursing and discharge planner to provide compassionate, evidence-based interventions and collaborative practice. You will engage in all relevant supporting activities such Multidisciplinary Team meetings and Family meetings.
The role also provides an outpatient service with a caseload including orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and women’s health. A falls group is also part of the outpatient service. You will be responsible for supporting the level 1/2 Physiotherapist. You will directly report to the Physiotherapy Head of Department at Maitland Hospital and be responsible for reporting any issues, concerns, problems that arise within the department.

· Have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with patients, carers and the wider multidiscipline team
· Be interested in management with patients with complexity of care across a variety of conditions
· Showcase your time management skills and prioritise your clinical demands
· Be a team player, who enjoys working with a supportive team.
Requirements:
- Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
