An exciting opportunity exists for an Intern Pharmacist (Pharmacist Unregistered) to join the team at Wollongong Hospital. This is a temporary full time position from January 2026 until 31 December 2026 with the possibility of extension.

To develop the necessary skills and competency in the pharmaceutical and clinical care of patients, with the view to gaining registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered pharmacist.

This purpose must be balanced with the need to contribute to the functionality of the pharmacy department, and participate in clinical pharmacy services, including dispensary and clinical ward duties commensurate with the level of skill, knowledge and experience demonstrated throughout the internship year.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

·         Completion of a Pharmacy degree from a University that is recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia, or assessment by APEC (or equivalent body) if overseas qualification, and eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in NSW on completion of intern training program (ITP).
