As an Intern Pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge, practical skills and professional confidence within a supportive hospital pharmacy environment. Working alongside experienced pharmacists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will gain hands-on experience across dispensing, clinical pharmacy, medication management, ward services, manufacturing and patient counselling. You will be supported throughout your internship and encouraged to participate in education, professional development and the Intern Training Program as you work towards registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA. A little about us.
Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west. - Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Completion of a Pharmacy degree from a University that is recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia, or assessment by APEC (or equivalent body) if overseas qualification, and eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in NSW on completion of intern training program (ITP).
This is a Temporary Full Time position until 31 December 2027
