What You'll Be Doing:
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
This position provides leadership and clinical management to the SESLHD Integrated Care Unit to execute the strategic direction and operational oversight of multidisciplinary services delivering programs for Aboriginal people with complex, chronic conditions. The services directly managed may include: South East Aboriginal Health Care (SEAHC) (care coordination and cultural support for people with chronic conditions), Bulbuwil healthy lifestyle program and Aboriginal supportive and community care (palliative care).

Selection Criteria:
- To be a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the Anti-discrimination Act 1977.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health discipline or relevant equivalent work experience related to managing clients with complex, chronic health conditions in the community and using a trauma-informed care framework, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of managing a multidisciplinary, community-based clinical team and service and . demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
- Extensive knowledge of the health and wellbeing and social care requirements of Aboriginal people with complex, chronic health conditions.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
- High level skills in organising and prioritising competing and shifting demands in a high-volume dynamic work environment and managing competing projects.
- A willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
