About the Opportunity
Join a high‑performing HR team supporting laboratories across NSW, delivering value‑add, generalist HR advice in a critical, fast‑paced role. This is a people-centered role where we focus on value-add initiatives supporting our workforce. Primarily based within Westmead Hospital however will be required to travel across multiple locations. 


You’ll join a team that values collaboration, open communication and getting the work done well, with the support, education, opportunities to develop your HR expertise. 
 

What you'll be doing
Providing a diverse range of Human Resource (HR) functions, including providing general HR advice, coaching and consultancy HR services to support managers and staff to deliver a HR service for NSW Health Pathology.

  1. Appropriate qualifications and/or experience in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations or qualifications and/or experience deemed equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated proficient computer literacy, preferably using Microsoft Office Applications, NSW Health payroll/HRIS system including the ability to manipulate and interpret data into reports and spread sheets and/or demonstrated capability to develop such knowledge within a reasonable period of time.
  3. Knowledge and competence with regard to Award, payroll and employee contract matters as they relate to NSW Health and/or demonstrated capability to develop such knowledge within a reasonable period of time.
  4. Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers through highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and sound coaching and mentoring skills.
  5. A sound understanding of strategic and operational human resources and employee relations and a commitment to the development of contemporary HR business solutions with a proven capacity to work independently and manage conflicting priorities and stakeholders (including unions).
  6. Demonstrated sound analytical and problem solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience in supporting change management initiatives in complex environments.
  7. Holds a current NSW C‑Class driver’s licence and able to travel across Local Health District sites as required
