About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
 
Lead and manage the Speech Pathology clinical services team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) in conjunction with the Director Speech Pathology with a leadership role for Speech Pathology including the supervision of staff, management of professional standards and development of safety and quality. The Head of Department also works with the Professional Discipline Director of Speech Pathology and other Heads of Departments to enhance Speech Pathology services, standards and quality across the allied health stream in Sydney LHD.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology with current registration to practice as a Speech Pathologist and eligibility for membership of the Speech Pathology professional association.
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in clinical leadership and/or management or willingness to undertake same.
  • Holds a current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Management experience essential.
