What you'll be doing
The Head of department is responsible for providing professional leadership for Podiatry across Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals. The position provides advice to the Director Allied Health and Community Services on matters relating to Podiatry and High Risk Foot Services. The position is responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with statutory and professional standards, workforce planning and clinical practice development, writing for publication, and clinical practice advancement for the discipline of podiatry. 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Must hold qualification recognised for registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia and clinical experience at Level 3 or above with current generalist registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
  2. During periods of system pressure, how have you demonstrated leadership in maintaining service continuity and supporting both your team and broader hospital priorities?
  3. How do you foster a culture of clinical excellence and accountability within your team, especially when managing high-risk patients across multiple sites?
