About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
We are looking for an experienced haematology nurse who has worked in the transplant and/or cellular therapies space. Highly preferable to have a demonstrated interest in long term follow up.
The Haematology Cellular Therapies Long Term Follow Up (LTFU). Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice and advanced and complex care coordination to patients and their carers as a member of the multidisciplinary team for cellular therapy. In this role the CNC:
• Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
• Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
• Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
• Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs.
• Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Ability to work a Monday to Friday Roster.
- Experience in haematology.
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
