Our IBD service is an established, collaborative team of medical and nursing leaders who actively participate in, lead and practise evidence-based IBD care at both national and international levels.

About the Role

John Hunter Hospital (JHH) is seeking an experienced and motivated nurse leader to join our established Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service. This role focuses on improving access to timely treatment for newly diagnosed patients while providing comprehensive, ongoing support to individuals and families living with IBD.

You will play a key role in delivering advanced, evidence-based care within a dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be passionate about expanding the boundaries of nursing practice and committed to excellence in patient-centred care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Improving access to treatment pathways for newly diagnosed IBD patients

  • Providing advanced clinical assessment, management and follow-up care

  • Supporting patients and families through education, advocacy and care coordination

  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care

  • Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Participating in national and international IBD panels and professional forums
