About the Role
You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, a leading healthcare provider with outstanding service for more than 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the veteran community, the hospital now delivers a broad range of specialist and general health services to the communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and surrounding areas.
This position provides senior clinical leadership within the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) Palliative Care Exercise Physiology service, with a strong focus on optimizing patient care and service delivery. The role supports the professional development of Exercise Physiology staff and students through mentoring and clinical supervision.
As a district-wide position, the role delivers Exercise Physiology services to outpatients and community-dwelling patients across SLHD. Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary community palliative care team, the Exercise Physiologist provides early intervention, exercise-based programs for people with cancer receiving palliative care. The position includes facilitating outpatient exercise groups as well as conducting community home visits, with the aim of maintaining patients' physical function, independence and overall quality of life throughout their palliative care journey.

Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science and current eligibility for full membership of the Exercise and Sports Science Australia Professional Association.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students.
- As you will be travelling for work you need to currently hold a valid NSW driver’s licence (P1 and P2 licence acceptable).
