About us
As part of the Health System Strategy and Patient Experience Division, the Executive Director, Strategic Planning, Economics and Experience, provides strategic leadership that shapes the NSW Health system through statewide service planning, health economics, reform, evaluation, and patient experience. The role is responsible for ensuring a coordinated, system-wide approach to service planning that is critical to the long-term sustainability, equity, and effectiveness of the NSW public health system.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to drive strategic planning, health economics, and patient experience across NSW Health.

This executive leadership role offers a unique opportunity to lead strategic planning, health economics, and patient experience at a system-wide level. You’ll drive investment strategies for health services and infrastructure, incorporating emerging technologies, specialty service needs, and population health priorities. Working in close collaboration with stakeholders across Local Health Districts and statewide initiatives, you’ll champion a transparent and coordinated planning approach overseen by the Ministry of Health. This is your chance to influence meaningful change and improve outcomes for communities across NSW.
This is an ongoing, full time, Band 2, Public Service Senior Executive PSSE role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $327,198 to $364,617 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related field and/or demonstrated equivalent health experience working in a highly complex policy and program management environment encompassing a diverse range of public health portfolios.
• A deep understanding of the complexities of public health systems, policy frameworks, and service delivery models in NSW.
• Proven experience in navigating health-related environments, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and leading strategic initiatives that improve health outcomes.
