Where you’ll be working
F2 is a 32-bed medical ward within John Hunter Hospital that specialises in respiratory medicine, immunology, infectious disease, rheumatology, and dermatology. The team is dynamic and supportive, with a strong focus on excellence in patient outcomes and experience, as well as professional development.
About the role
In this role, you’ll care for patients across the ward’s specialty areas as well as others requiring non-invasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy. This diverse experience will help you build valuable skills across both medical and surgical fields. Teamwork is central to the F2 culture—you’ll be supported in all aspects of your role and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally.

Requirements:
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
How you’ll be supported
- A leadership and mentoring team of ENs, RNs, and CNSs providing regular feedback and support
- A dedicated ward Clinical Nurse Educator during hours, plus after-hours educator support across the hospital
- A ward Case Manager assisting with patient flow, complex discharges, and reducing length of stay
- Access to specialty expertise through a Nurse Practitioner in non-invasive ventilation and cystic fibrosis, a CNC in COPD and asthma, and Respiratory Liaison Nurses for conditions such as cystic fibrosis, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and COPD
