About our Facilities
· Shellharbour hospital is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medical, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis and adolescent and adult mental health services on site
· 20 bed Transitional Care beds (TCF) unit within Figtree Private Hospital - provides healthcare to elderly patients currently within our acute ISLHD hospitals whom are ACAT approved awaiting placement of Residential aged care facility (RACF), Illawarra transitional aged care service (ITACS), Community packages (COMPACS), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or Veterans Home Care (VHC).

· Building of the New Shellharbour Hospital (NSH) is due to commence and will open in late 2027. The NSH will mean a significant expansion to the Emergency Department (including a Paediatric Assessment Unit) and Ambulatory Care service, increased elective surgical services, establishment of an Intensive Care Unit and specialist Medical, Aged Care and Rehabilitation units as well as innovative virtual models of care.
