About Your Role

The Enrolled Nurse in our Mental Health Recovery Unit Team, will assist in the provision of a broad range of structured activities and programs designed to support our consumers. You will work with others in a collaborative and supportive team in providing quality clinical services to mental health consumers, their families and carers.

As the Enrolled Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Complete mental state and risk assessments
  • Providing hands-on care, including assisting with personal hygiene, administering medications (as per scope of practice), monitoring vital signs, and observing for changes in a consumer’s condition.
  • Ensuring all actions are within the defined scope of practice for ENs, as outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Providing psychoeducation modules to our consumers, either as group facilitator or second for our groups

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • An understanding of Murrumbidgee Local Health District core values (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment)
  • Qualification in Diploma of Nursing and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise service provision as necessary
