Where you’ll be working

Join a 32-bed General Medical Unit in the beautiful NSW highlands, caring for palliative, rehabilitation, acute stroke, aged care, cognitive impairment, cardiac telemetry and general medical patients. You’ll be part of a dynamic team of bright and caring nurses delivering acute care in a stunning regional location. Together, this creates an energising environment where your skills directly improve patient outcomes across diverse medical needs.

About the role

As an Enrolled Nurse – General Medical Unit, you’ll provide hands-on acute care across a varied patient mix, working collaboratively under the guidance of experienced nursing leadership. You’ll support daily treatments, monitoring, mobility assistance and patient wellbeing initiatives in a fast-paced, rewarding medical ward environment. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), this role offers meaningful variety and the chance to grow your acute care expertise in a supportive team setting.

About you

You’re a motivated, acute care trained Enrolled Nurse (EN) with a genuine passion for diverse medical nursing and patient connection. You bring energy, clinical competence and a caring approach to thrive in a dynamic ward with complex patient needs.

You bring:

  • Current AHPRA Authority to Practice as Enrolled Nurse
  • Acute care training and experience in medical ward settings
  • Skills supporting palliative, stroke, cardiac, rehabilitation and aged care patients
  • Collaborative teamwork and patient-focused care approach
  • Adaptability across varied medical conditions and care requirements

These skills and qualities will help you excel in this vibrant medical unit, with strong support from the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and part-time Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), plus ongoing education opportunities to build your career.
