At Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, a modern 99-bed facility, the Surgical Ward provides Enrolled Nurses the opportunity to deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary team, supporting patients throughout their surgical journey.



About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our Surgical Ward team. You will provide safe, high-quality, person-centred care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, working collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health teams.

Your work will be varied and rewarding, including:

  • Supporting pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Assisting with clinical assessments and medication administration within scope of practice
  • Monitoring patient recovery and escalating concerns appropriately
  • Providing education, reassurance, and advocacy for patients and families
  • Contributing to a positive, safe, and supportive ward environment


About You

You are a dedicated and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting. You bring:

  • Sound clinical knowledge and foundational surgical nursing skills
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
