About Us

Springwood Hospital was opened in 1976 as a community-based hospital in the Blue Mountains. Springwood community remains very active in supporting and raising funds for the hospital who provides a range of allied health, rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care services.

We are currently looking for Enrolled Nurses to join our General Wards Unit within Springwood Hospital either Permanently Full Time or Part Time. This position will provide safe patient care and provision of care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse specific to service need.

As an Enrolled Nurse you will ensure the provision of patient-centred nursing care include recognition of normal and subnormal in assessment, intervention and evaluation of individual health and functional status. The enrolled nurse monitors the impact of nursing care and maintains ongoing communication with the registered nurse responsibilities also include providing support and comfort, assisting with activities of daily living to achieve an optimal level of independence and providing for emotional needs of individuals.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration Division 2 (without notation) - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Experience and demonstrated skill and acute and chronic nursing
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centered care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
  6. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
