Where you’ll be working
Based in Gunnedah, you’ll be working across the Inpatient Unit and Emergency Department in an acute care setting. Care is provided for medical, surgical, aged care, and palliative patients. The facility is transitioning to a new 21-bed Inpatient Unit in December, offering modern, purpose-built spaces for staff and patients alike. You’ll be part of a small and supportive team that consistently excels in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the role
This role involves performing all duties within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse, with opportunities to expand your skills in a dynamic and varied environment. Typical hours involve three 8-hour shifts per week, with the expectation to work across AM, PM, and night shifts. You will always be supported by a supervising RN or Nurse Unit Manager, with a minimum of two staff per shift.
About you
- A competent and skilled Enrolled Nurse with at least two years’ post-graduate full-time equivalent experience.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work across AM, PM, and night shifts.
- Demonstrates initiative, maturity, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive and professional approach to patient care and team culture.
Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum two years’ post-graduate full-time equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster of AM, PM, and night shifts.
