What you'll be doing
The Clinical Application Support (CASU) exists within Clinical Informatics Department of Information Communications and Technology (ICT), Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).
The unit provides;
- ongoing application support and management of clinical and patient management applications
- clinical application upgrades and maintenance
- eMR data quality and management
- expert knowledge, ongoing enhancements, optimisation and development of the eMR and consulting services on the development of new clinical applications, advice on business process reengineering and transformation, change management, benefits realisation and post implementation reviews.
The primarily purpose of this role is to provide support, daily maintenance and development of Cerner Applications, primarily relating to Community Health in accordance with State mandatory reporting requirements and local requests for enhancements. The successful incumbent will have an understanding of patient administration, clinical documentation and will have a thorough understanding of policies and data requirements required for reporting both State and Commonwealth. This position will need to work closely with the other applications specialists within CASU to achieve outcomes and may also assist with Profile/Health Information Management, Scheduling, Unique Patient Identifier and Data Corrections and Reporting, to meet District, State and National requirements.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Please outline your relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience that demonstrate your suitability for a role spanning pharmacy, health informatics and information technology.
- Please provide an example from your practice as a pharmacist where you worked with, supported or implemented a digital health application (for example, electronic medication management). Describe your role, how you used the system, and how your actions supported patient safety and clinical outcomes.
- Please describe a situation where you were involved in investigating and resolving an issue in a healthcare application. In your response, include your approach to testing, issue resolution and adherence to change control or version control processes.
