As a Clinical Nurse Educator in the John Hunter Hospital Emergency Department, you’ll use your emergency nursing expertise to develop staff capability, strengthen clinical practice and support exceptional patient care. With more than 85,000 presentations each year, you’ll be part of a busy tertiary referral service caring for complex Adult and Paediatric patients across resuscitation, trauma, acute care, Fast Track and Emergency Short Stay.
 

About You

Are you an experienced emergency nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring and helping others grow? As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you’ll bring your clinical expertise, leadership skills and passion for education to help build a confident and capable nursing team.

Essential Criteria

  • Emergency nursing leadership experience and contemporary clinical knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience delivering education and supporting staff development.
  • Relevant postgraduate clinical or education qualifications, or equivalent experience.
  • Current Triage and ALS, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or willingness to obtain
