Manning Base Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician to join our Facilities Management team. This is an opportunity to use your trade skills in a dynamic healthcare environment while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors.

Based at Manning Hospital, you’ll join a well-organised team with a reputation for getting things done. Reporting to the Engineering and Building Services Manager, you’ll work alongside experienced and approachable colleagues in a supportive environment where no two days are the same.
About the role
As an Electrician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and selected installation works across the facility.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and plant.
- Completing electrical installations and associated works as required.
- Ensuring all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Identifying and responding to electrical maintenance requirements.
- Working safely to minimise disruption to patients, staff and visitors.
- Managing your workload and completing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Working collaboratively with the broader Facilities Management team.
You’ll receive on-the-job training and orientation from skilled colleagues, providing you with the opportunity to become familiar with the facility, systems and requirements of the role.
About you
You’re an experienced Electrician who takes pride in your work, manages your time effectively and can confidently work independently while contributing to a strong team environment.
You will bring:
- Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical.
- A current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking electrical work in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
- The physical and mental stamina required to undertake maintenance services within a large healthcare facility.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
