Remuneration: $79.85 - $89.33 per hour

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
To partner  effectively with the facility executive team comprising of the General Manager, Clinical Directors, Operations Directors and Professional leads whist maintaining overall leadership, accountability and management, of the facility’s financial performance.
This role will work under and alongside the professional leadership and guidance of the Executive Director Finance and the Deputy Director Finance for the Western Sydney Local Health District.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification within finance discipline and/or demonstrated experience managing financial operations of a complex Health Service (or similar body) including understanding of the current challenges involved with health reform, risks and major cost drivers impacting on the Health Service’s financial position and demonstrated success in financial and economic analysis. CPA qualification will be highly regarded.
  2. Extensive experience managing full cycle of budgetary processes including budget setting, monitoring and reporting of the development and implementation of financial management policy.
  3. Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem solving skills using variety of data systems such as financial, statistical, HR and management systems to pro-actively improve business processes.
  4. Prior experience and/or understanding in the use of case weighted and/or activity funding to improve business performance
  5. Demonstrated experience leading and monitoring the education and coaching of stakeholders, including cost centre managers in the access, monitoring, analysis and usage of business, performance systems and data bases
  6. Proven high level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely to staff at varied levels of a the organisation.
  7. Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a team.
  8. Demonstrated extensive experience and proficiency in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
