About the Opportunity
As a Digital Health Implementation Engineer within the Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through the design, delivery and technical leadership of enterprise-level infrastructure, integration solutions and medical device connectivity to support statewide digital health transformation.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the implementation of complex ICT infrastructure and device integration solutions that support clinical and business operations across NSW Health. You’ll work with ICT devices and leading technologies to deliver secure, interoperable platforms that align with NSW Health standards and ensure clinicians have access to the right technology at every stage of the patient journey.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to assess current-state architecture and design future-state infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to statewide initiatives to improve medical device integration, clinical system interoperability and digital health implementation.
- Develop and govern architecture documentation, ensuring it is endorsed by key stakeholders and supports project goals.
- Lead technical assessments, testing and deployment of enterprise-level ICT solutions across a range of clinical environments.
- Advise on quality improvement opportunities and provide expert technical input into strategy and planning activities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience in deploying ICT devices and services across hospital environments, with a practical understanding of clinical workflows, support models, and operational requirements in healthcare environments.
- Experienced in conducting on-site audits and inventory assessments and translating findings into uplift plans that support safe and effective clinical use of digital technologies.
- Has the ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Holds qualifications and/or equivalent extensive experience in transitioning and developing health integration solutions.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving and communication skills and thrives in rapidly evolving technical landscapes.
- Supports testing initiatives and works collaboratively with clinical, technical and operational teams to ensure successful implementation.
