About the Role

This role will be based at Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and keep University of Sydney affiliate status.

  

The Digital Communications Officer provides support, problem solving, content creation, content management and reporting for SHP’s digital channels including websites, digital learning hub, EDM systems and social media.

 

The Digital Communications Officer will be employed by SLHD and is required to work across the entire SHP partnership, including attending events at partner sites across Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

 

Sydney Health Partners (SHP) is an accredited National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Research Translation Centre.
SHP operates as an unincorporated strategic partnership comprised of five major health services (Sydney, Northern Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains and Western Sydney LHDs and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network), ten medical research institutes, and the University of Sydney. SHP is governed by a Board and receives operational support from Sydney Local Health District and the University of Sydney. Sydney Health Partners is supported by a small executive team, located at The University of Sydney, Camperdown.

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a range of digital communications products including websites and social channels in a large and complex organisation.
  • Has video production skills and experience including shooting and editing video content.
  • Strong experience in STEM communications and/or a demonstrated ability to develop engaging online content (website and social media content) conveying complex scientific ideas to a lay audience.
