About the Role

Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs.

  

To provide a high quality Dietetic service to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients/clients of the service. 
  
This will include providing nutrition care, education, counselling and nutrition support to inpatients and/or outpatients in a clinical area. Exercise professional judgement in line with years of experience is actively involved in quality assurance and service development activities within the department. Level 2 staff may be involved in clinical supervision of more junior staff and students.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetic practice and the provision of services to dietetics, in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
