We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian Assistant to provide support to the Nutrition and Dietetics team in delivering and maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for inpatients and supporting the delivery of clinical care to inpatients, while working under the supervision of an allied health professional. As a Dietitian Assistant you will be assisting the Dietitians at Bowral and District Hospital with various tasks. These may include but are not limited to:
- Completing menu orders with patients
- Providing basic nutritional guidance
- Assist in malnutrition screening
- Supplement checks
- Administration tasks to support clinician Outpatient services
- Monitoring supplement stock levels
- The role involves acting as a liaison between patients, families, hospital staff, Dietitians and Food Services.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition &Dietetics) or Certificate III AHA (Nutrition &Dietetics) or equivalent qualification or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience working as a Dietitian Assistant in a hospital with a commitment to commence Certificate IV within 12 months.
2. Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other health care professionals to relay information, clarify instructions and support patient care.
4. Commitment to customer service and quality improvement.
5. Good computer skills with experience using CBORD windows system (preferred).
