Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital Diabetes / Endocrinology

What you'll be doing
The Level 1/2 Dietitian will provide nutrition assessment and medical nutrition therapy for people with diabetes across the ambulatory care setting. Key areas include Type 1 and Type 2 and gestational diabetes. Carbohydrate counting for insulin and insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. Group education programs. This role includes participation in multidisciplinary clinics, service development, quality improvement and student supervision opportunities.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  2. Describe your qualifications and eligibility for Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status, and your experience working as a dietitian in a clinical setting.
  3. Describe your experience, knowledge or interested in providing nutrition care for people with diabetes.
  4. Teamwork and communication are important in this role, provide an example of how you have worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
