Wansey Dialysis Centre is a 22-chair satellite haemodialysis unit proudly supported by the John Hunter Hospital Department of Nephrology network. As part of this specialist renal service, you will have the opportunity to build your career in nephrology nursing while providing high-quality care to people living with chronic kidney disease.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with haemodialysis expertise to join our supportive team on a permanent part-time basis. Working alongside Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will receive ongoing support, education, and opportunities to further develop your clinical skills and grow your career within a specialised haemodialysis environment.


More than a dialysis unit – a team that supports one another

As a Registered Nurse within our haemodialysis service, you will be part of a close-knit team where collaboration, respect, and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do.

You will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred haemodialysis care.
  • Work 8-hour morning and afternoon shifts across a Monday to Saturday roster.
  • Collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, evidence-based care.
  • Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients through continuity of care.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture that values safety, respect, quality improvement, and clinical excellence.
  • Receive a comprehensive orientation to the unit, including training on dialysis equipment, systems, and clinical practices used within the service.

You are a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with haemodialysis experience, committed to delivering safe, person-centred care and making a meaningful difference for patients while working within a supportive and collaborative team.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated haemodialysis nursing experience, with the ability to provide safe, evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of patients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop trusted relationships with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the confidence to respond to changing clinical needs and priorities.
  • A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to contributing to a supportive and respectful workplace culture.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a desire to further build your specialist nephrology nursing skills.
