About the Opportunity
As a DevOps Engineer in our Clinical Applications Services team at eHealth NSW, you will play a key role in transforming healthcare delivery by assisting the technical team, which is responsible for delivering systems architecture, and ensuring the successfully build, operation and running of products or platforms in alignment to relevant roadmaps. Working closely with stakeholders, customers and colleagues, to ensure easy and effective achievement of team / project / business goals. As an integral member of the Clinical Applications Services team, you will:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, develop, deploy and maintain complex AWS cloud-based solution implementations within architectural, security and code quality guidelines considering performance, scalability and sustainability. 

  • Manage system performance to meet user demand by performing proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis. 

  • Manage system issues including technological/environmental issues and application defect and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. 

  • Take initiative and identify opportunities in change and event management processes to enable continuous improvement. 

  • Communicate effectively on identified issues and suggest solutions to business for acceptance and create and maintain technical documentation both for projects and business as usual. 

  • Collaborate with and support the effective operation of the team through training and mentoring to build internal capability .

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has hands-on experience deploying cloud infrastructure solutions, with a proven track record in designing, building, and implementing AWS-based IaaS and PaaS solutions.

  • Proven ability to analyse complex problems and deliver practical, actionable solutions.

  •  3+ years of experience setting up infrastructure for AWS cloud-native applications, with a strong grasp of governance, security, identity management, monitoring, and automation practices.

  • Advanced knowledge of networking and distributed computing concepts, with a solid understanding of routing, firewalls, and client/server applications. Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues using established methodologies and best practices.
