Campbelltown Hospital is seeking a motivated Deputy Head of Department / Student Educator Dietitian (Temporary Part Time) to support the leadership of our Dietetics Department while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred nutrition care across paediatric and adult services. This pivotal role combines clinical practice, supervision, service development and student education, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients, staff and the future dietetic workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head of Department in managing and leading the Dietetics team
- Leading allocated teams to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred nutrition services
- Providing advanced caseload management and supervision of staff and students
- Coordinating and supervising student placements
- Driving quality improvement, service development, evaluation and training initiatives

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics giving eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
- Extensive relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and complex case load management.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including group education, advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement activities for service development.
Demonstrated experience in staff and student supervision, and managing staff performance.
