About the Service
The Nurse Manager Deputy coordinates and manages clinical care services and its resources for Yass District Hospital and provide leadership and direction for staff within a multidisciplinary health care team the supports the Facility Nurse Manager in providing an environment that facilitates learning and development of professional standards of practice to achieve people focused quality care.

Selection Criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Postgraduate qualification in the field of Clinical Management or associated fields and or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience in clinical management.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage frontline clinical services together with the ability to utilise a range of communication strategies including mediation and consultation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing and supervising competence and performance of staff together with the ability to identify strengths and limitations and proven skills in implementing continuous quality improvement programs, policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to contribute to the implementation of the plans for nursing services, organisational change processes, allocate and manage nursing resources and set nursing priorities.
- Experience and ability in utilising and sharing knowledge and skills relating to nursing practice with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
