What you'll be doing
As a Dental Officer Level 1, you will deliver a high standard of general oral health care to eligible patients across WSLHD facilities. You will play a key role in examinations, treatment planning, education, and collaborative clinical practice, while maintaining strong patient relationships and contributing to health promotion activities.
You will:
Provide comprehensive oral examinations, obtain detailed medical histories, and develop informed treatment plans
Deliver general oral health care while educating patients on preventive practices
Collaborate with senior clinicians and refer to specialists when required
Manage the full cycle of patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and appointment management
Maintain exemplary infection control standards aligned with NSW Health and WSLHD policies
Participate in professional development, peer review, meetings, and rotational on-call services (including rural rotations)

Essential Requirements:
Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Dentist.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative / population health approach to patient care.
A demonstrated ability to work within a large team and independently.
A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
