About the role:
Join the Newcastle Dental Clinic as a Trainee Dental Assistant and play an important role in supporting the delivery of quality dental care to adults and children across Newcastle and surrounding communities. In this hands-on role, you’ll contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the Dental Unit by providing both clinical and administrative support to the team.
Operating five days per week from 8:00am to 4:30pm, the Newcastle Dental Clinic is a busy seven-chair service offering general dentistry, children’s dental care, and specialist services. Newcastle Clinic currently has 25+ staff members that work collaboratively to provide excellent care for patients. You’ll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment while learning alongside experienced oral health professionals.
We are committed to supporting your success, with full training provided, including a comprehensive orientation program delivered by the Oral Health Management team. Throughout the year, you’ll also have access to ongoing workshops and development opportunities to help build your skills and support future career growth.
About you:
You are motivated to undertake and complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting through an approved Smart and Skilled training organisation. With a professional, compassionate approach and strong communication skills, you can build positive working relationships and provide excellent support to patients and colleagues. You enjoy working collaboratively, are organised, and can contribute effectively in a busy team environment.

Additional Information:
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
