About the role:
Hunter New England Oral Health has a valued and long-standing partnership with Awabakal Aboriginal Medical Service to deliver accessible, high-quality dental care to the local Aboriginal community. Located within the Hamilton medical service site, the Awabakal Dental Clinic is a modern three-chair clinic operating Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
You’ll join a welcoming and experienced team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists and Dental Assistants who are passionate about improving oral health outcomes and delivering culturally respectful, patient-centred care to the community.
In this role, you will use your experience as a Dental Assistant to provide high-quality clinical support to dental clinicians while delivering exceptional customer service and helping create a positive experience for every patient.

You’ll receive ongoing support from the Clinic Coordinator, along with a comprehensive orientation program delivered by the Oral Health management team to help you settle into the role and build confidence in your practice.

About you:
The successful candidate will possess a professional and compassionate attitude with strong communication skills that are utilised to build relationships and communicate effectively with the team, patients, carers and the Awabakal Medical Service.
Your experience in Dental Assisting and assistance in providing excellent patient care within the clinic will be the key to your success in this position.
As part of the role there is opportunity to share cultural knowledge and expertise with the team to deliver best practice.
Requirements:
Current Dental Assistant Certificate recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia up to the level of Certificate 3 and or unqualified but experienced dental assistant.

Additional Information:
