What you'll be doing
The Dental Assistant assists dental officers and oral health therapists to deliver safe and effective oral health services by providing clinical and administrative assistance and support. 

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent, OR experience and preparedness to undertake Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
  2. Demonstrated high level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures.
  3. Demonstrated experience and understanding of current infection control principles and procedures.
  4. Demonstrated ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks.
  5. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the team.
  7. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the Health Service and overnight stays at health service expense. Evidence of a current Class C driver's licence.
