Where you'll be working
Hornsby Hospital Dental Clinic

What you'll be doing
 To provide a high standard of customer service to all Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Oral Health patients, visitors and employees in a manner consistent with the NSLHD Core Values and Behaviour Charter. 
The primary focus of this position is to actively work with management and the booking team to carry out various administrative functions, for the optimal flow of patients in the delivery of dental services. 
The position is also considered to be more experienced and capable of working in complex work environments and specialist areas and will undertake the full range of dental assistant duties, when required. 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Certificate IV in Dental Assisting recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or qualifications deemed by the Ministry to be equivalent
  2. High level negotiation skills with well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues
  3. Ability to work autonomously with a high level of effectiveness and as part of a team with proven time management and ability to set priorities and monitor work flow in area of responsibility
  4. Exceptional verbal/written communication skills with ability to critically investigate and evaluate regulations, instructions or procedural guidelines relevant to the Booking Team tasks and responsibilities
  5. Demonstrated advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and data information systems e.g. Titanium, Microsoft
  6. Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accurate data entry skills with proven experience in accurately recording, collating and distributing information
  7. Current valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSLHD clinics to provide support
