About the Role

Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

The provision of respite care and support to people with dementia in a day centre environment. Socialisation and activities are provided. This position is based at across Karinya Day Centre at Canterbury Hospital and/or Kalparrin Day Centre at Concord Hospital.

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Experience and/ or demonstrated understanding and awareness of the needs of people with dementia and their carers

  • Demonstrated ability to assist with direct personal care and other tasks of daily living to clients with dementia or older persons

  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months
