What you'll be doing

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it. 

Provide specialised technical support for the management of reporting clinical data as well as maintaining relevant clinical informaion systems within the Prince of Wales Hospital Cancer Service to achieve business and service objectives.
  1. Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in Health Information Management, Health Informatics or a related healthcare field
  2. Demonstrated high level competency in database management and experience in the development, maintenance, validation and quality control of data
  3. Well developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate high quality data reports in a variety of formats
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently within minimal supervsion, as well as to work effectively as part of a data management team
  5. Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and meet predetermined targets and deadlines, whilst being flexible and able to adapt work practices
  6. Capacity to manage and support change and integration with other clinical data functions
  7. Demonstrated capacity to assist with the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, standards and practices
  8. Sound understanding of NSW and Australian healthcare systems, and the organisational culture of health care services and facilities in NSW
